Somewhere in an unknown part of the world, there was a jungle so vast and so deep, that some say it’s a world unto its own. It is said that it’s home to a lot of fantastical creatures known as therians. The therians came in a wide variety of shapes, sizes and forms. The humans that grew up in this jungle had previously worshipped and respected them. But now, due to the more unscrupulous individuals visions of the ‘perfect world’, conflicts between the humans and the therians had torn most assumptions of peace asunder.

I didn't have very many problems with this one. At first, the battle scene felt a little rushed, but since it took up half the chapter, probably not. Remember, this story's going to go on for a few chapters, so don't expect it to end any time soon. Other than that, I think this is a pretty good chapter.
